Webster Elementary School Installation of Portable Classrooms

Construction Begins: January 2018
Projected Opening: June 2018
Project Budget: $1.7 Million

Overview:

The primary goal of this project is to add interim housing (i.e. portable buildings) to the site in order to provide temporary classroom spaces for students during various HVAC modernization projects. Nineteen (19) new portable buildings will be added to this site, which includes 16 classrooms, 1 admin space and 2 restrooms for student and staff use. Additionally, the project entails:

  • Utility service upgrades
  • Electrical upgrades
  • Reconfiguration of the north parking lot to accommodate student drop-off
  • Reconfiguration of Netherly Avenue for improved street parking and traffic flow

Webster ES will utilize the interim housing during the installation of new HVAC to their permanent buildings. Muir K-8 and Birney ES will also ultimately utilize the interim housing at Webster ES during their campus improvements.
