Peggy Williams, Measure K Program Consultant
Peggy Williams has lived in Long Beach for the past five years, although her connections to the city and the district go much further back. Her grandmother moved to Long Beach as a young child, attended LBUSD elementary and middle schools and was a 1932 graduate of Wilson High School where she was an active member of the swimming/dive team.
Peggy has worked on all aspects of the LBUSD capital facilities program over the last nine years and has been involved with Measure K since the beginning, from the early years of facilities master planning to current project construction. Over the years, she has been involved in all phases of the Measure K program and currently leads the environmental compliance team. Her firm, Margaret Williams, LLC, employs nine consultants currently serving Measure K, providing services in the following areas: project and program accounting, move-management, Division of the State Architect close-out, technology and program administration.
Peggy has 27 years of experience in education. She has held administrative positions in multiple California districts including chief business official, chief financial officer, budget analyst, accounting supervisor, director of facilities planning and construction, and senior facilities planner. She holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in education and has taught K-12, community college and university levels.
